 fety of Nuclear Disposal Practices (safeND).\nCooperation and knowledge sh
 aring\nsafeND 2027 will take place in Berlin from 6 to 8 October 2027\, wi
 th the following key topic:“Better together: cooperation and knowledge s
 haring across borders” \nThe disposal of radioactive waste is a complex
  sociotechnical problem that requires decades of comprehensive research an
 d development\, followed by implementation. Currently\, many countries are
  working in parallel to address these challenges. International cooperatio
 n is an essential aspect in this field\, providing a means for leveraging 
 synergies to achieve rapid and efficient disposal of radioactive waste.\nI
 t is particularly crucial for countries with small inventories of radioact
 ive waste to the established disposal programs of countries with large inv
 entories.\nsafeND 2027 will highlight such cooperative efforts by dedicati
 ng sessions to both ongoing international research collaborations and netw
 orks\, as well as the current status of disposal in a selection of advance
 d national programs.\nRegistration for safeND is expected to open in June
