Executive Board

The Executive Board is represented by the president and eight other elected members. Every two years, the Executive Board is elected by the membership.

Council

The Council consists of 30 elected ordinary members of the German Sociological Association for a term of four years each. Every two years, half of the Council is elected by the membership. At least once a year, the Council meets and receives report of the Executive Board.

Student Advisory Council

The four elected candidates of the Student Advisory Council with the highest number of votes attend Board meetings 1-2 times a year as guests without voting rights or meet with Board members on an ad hoc basis.

Assembly of the Speakers of the Sections

The Assembly of the Speakers of the Sections meets at least once a year. At the meeting, the sections inform each other about their work and are informed about important matters within the GSA.
