Climate change is no longer a topic just for environmental sociology courses. Students today are going to spend the rest of their lives in increasingly fraught circumstances and they are understandably anxious about that. Sociologists ought to be giving them the conceptual tools to understand what is about to happen to them. It is likely, though, that many sociologists do not have the expertise, in climate science, climate impacts, climate politics, to easily add climate change content to their courses. To help colleagues add Sociology of Climate Change to their classes, members of ASA's Environmental Sociology Section have created a climate teaching resource web page.

Am 15. April findet in der Universität Vechta von 16 bis 18Uhr eine Informationsveranstaltung zum Studiengang›Gesellschaft, Nachhaltigkeit und Soziale Innovationen (GeNauSo)‹statt. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung werden die Inhalte des Studiengangs vorgestellt, Studierende berichten von ihren Erfahrungen im Studiengang und kooperierende Unternehmen präsentieren den Arbeitsalltag von Berufen im Bereich Nachhaltigkeit. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an alle Interessierten. Kurzentschlossene können auch ohne Anmeldung teilnehmen.
