The members of the German Sociological Association's board and student's advisory board express their solidarity with the students and academics of the universities of Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kragujevac, and Niš in Serbia, as well as with the rector of the University of Belgrade. We support their demands for transparency in the reconstruction process after the tragedy of Novi Sad, accountability for those responsible, and justice for the victims.
Not least, as academics and students, we support their struggle to maintain universities as spaces of free thought and critical inquiry.
